Well I've let a whole week go by but let's be honest no BIG news since the boys have left for the Sunshine State earlier this week. Mostly we're checking out our new trialists who look alot better than the motley crew we assembled last season. I'm not sure who to be most stoked about. Gregory Richardson scored four goals against New England last year (in two games) with Joe Public and I don't know if NE's lineup was depleted but his goals were pretty tight, not to mention he set up the 3rd goal in their 4-0 thrashing.
AND to top it all off it looks we signed the long awaited Pablo Vitti today! (ok on loan). Hey people are complaining about no CBs yet but the truth is the last two seasons we could not finish for the life of us, now we have what *could* be some serious options up front: Dichio, Barrett, De Ro, Guevara all can pot them and if Vitti and Richardson (Vitti in particular) are what they seem to be, we could be deadly up front. Hey what's that saying? The best defense is a good offense? Or is it the other way around? DOESN'T MATTER. I LIKE GOALS. GOALS GOOD. I don't know how you can't be optimistic (you know, like not in the Maple Leafs way) about this season. If NYRB can sneak in the way they did, teams have got to see anyone can get through as long as they make the playoffs. Can't wait for the reports outta training and to see these guys fist hand!
